Zone 7 Creative is the online portfolio for Xerxes Cortez. Here you'll find mostly motion graphics, but who knows? Maybe there's something lurking beneath the surface? Something...sinister!?!

Meet Xerxes

Well, I'm Xerxes Cortez: an artist who's been working in the post-production side of commercials and television since 2002 despite having a name more suited to being an 80's action movie villain.

I went to school for Film Production at York University and Media Arts at Sheridan College where I mainly focused on editing. That led to a stint at MacLaren McCann as a commercial editor but after a couple of years, I decided to shift gears into Motion Design and I haven't looked back since.

I do plenty of different things that include but are not limited to: animating, branding & packaging, editing, illustrating, writing excellent profiles & bios, telling hilarious jokes to large groups of strangers, jamming on a ukulele, listening to a lot of Jay Z, using oxford commas, and so much more.

I live and work in Toronto where I also hang out with my pug.
